I love having only a short time to spend in cities that become significant to me in seemingly an instant, and those places I knew once but return with a visitor's eyes. They offer the most remarkable experiences, views of architecture and architectural details that hold enormous power over my imagination. They are pass throughs, and I love the challenge of seeing something that remains important to me.
I was honoured to be invited by Editor JoAnn Locktov to contribute to her book of "Dream of Venice in Black and White", (please see the second image in this portfolio) about a city that has particular emotional importance to me. The book was published by Bella Figura Publications in 2019. An interview with JoAnn was published by the prestigious art publication, Ytali, in November 2019. Ytali and JoAnn Locktov also honoured me in a very special way, by publishing my essay on Venice during the Acqua Alta of that year.
